Santoni China Group will exhibit at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, scheduled for Nov. 20-24 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
Under the theme “Machines Evolved · Intelligence Delivered,” the group will showcase circular and seamless knitting technologies, textile applications, its SWS 3D AI-assisted design platform and integrated digital solutions from brands including Santoni, Jingmei and Terrot. The company will exhibit in Hall 4.1, Booth C39.
Founded in Brescia, Italy, in 1919, Santoni established a manufacturing presence in China in 2005. Today, Santoni China Group brings together six equipment and component brands, four integrated engineering, research and development and manufacturing hubs, and a digital ecosystem focused on intelligent manufacturing.
The group’s exhibition will highlight advances in knitting machinery, fabric development and digital technologies designed to improve manufacturing efficiency and expand product development capabilities.
Advancing circular knitting technology
Santoni China Group will present five circular knitting machines demonstrating advances in production efficiency, fabric structures and machine control.
The Santoni INNOTAS-HS Single Jersey Open-Width (30-inch, E28, F90) combines the SJ7 intelligent platform with an electronically controlled fabric take-down system. Designed to maintain stable fabric tension and consistent fabric quality at high production speeds, the machine also features a self-cleaning design to reduce maintenance requirements. Applications include T-shirts, underwear, sportswear and lightweight apparel.
The Terrot UCC 672-ME Mattress Double Electronic Jacquard (38-inch, E20, F88) features electronic three-way needle selection in both the cylinder and dial. The technology enables intricate double-sided jacquard patterns, three-dimensional textures and engineered ventilation zones. A specialized mattress fabric concept will be displayed.
The Jingmei JTB-P Double Jersey Open-Width (34-inch, E36, F84) combines precise stitch-density adjustment with an efficient yarn-feeding system. Designed for fine-gauge double jersey production, the machine supports interlock, Ponte Roma and related fabric structures.
The Jingmei JXPFH Intelligent Single Jersey Compound-Needle (34-inch, E28, F108) introduces a compound-needle system with redesigned sinkers and a ceramic cylinder. The technology offers additional flexibility for producing fabric structures that can be challenging to achieve with conventional latch needles.
The Jingmei JHG Computerized Jacquard Rib Transfer (34-inch, E28, F84) combines fine-gauge knitting, rib transfer technology and computerized jacquard capabilities. An electronic yarn-feeding system with automatic tension adjustment supports the development of complex rib and jacquard fabrics for womenswear, underwear, loungewear and babywear.
Seamless knitting innovations
Santoni will also showcase three seamless knitting technologies designed to expand applications in sportswear, swimwear, activewear and body-shaping garments.
The Santoni TOP2 ST (Selective Terry), a 16-inch E28 machine, provides needle-by-needle control of selective terry structures, allowing manufacturers to position terry loops in specific areas of a garment. The technology supports cushioning, ventilation, thermal comfort and three-dimensional textures for performance apparel.
The Santoni SM8 TR1S (Transfer), a 15-inch E24 machine, enables patented run-resistant mesh structures that combine structural stability with design flexibility. Engineered mesh areas can provide targeted ventilation while incorporating decorative patterns and functional details directly into the fabric.
The Santoni TOP2 FAST (Fine Gauge), a 15-inch E40 machine, demonstrates fine-gauge seamless knitting for lightweight, smooth and soft fabrics. A collection of E40 seamless swimwear will highlight applications in premium swimwear, underwear and other next-to-skin garments.
Textile applications and product development
Beyond machinery, Santoni China Group will display fabrics and finished garments developed using circular and seamless knitting technologies.
The exhibition will feature four application categories: performance, outdoor and training, intimate apparel, and sustainable design.
Performance applications will demonstrate engineered compression zones, mesh structures and advanced knitting techniques that integrate support, breathability and comfort into sportswear.
Outdoor and training applications will highlight lightweight construction, breathable fabrics, selective terry and engineered knitting structures that provide cushioning, thermal comfort and localized support.
Intimate apparel applications will feature fine-gauge fabrics, engineered compression and mesh structures designed to balance fit, softness and breathability.
Sustainable design applications will demonstrate how structural engineering and integrated textile design can incorporate functional and decorative elements directly into knitted fabrics and garments, potentially reducing material waste and unnecessary processing.
SWS 3D: AI-assisted seamless design
Santoni China Group will introduce its SWS 3D platform, an AI-assisted design solution developed to improve seamless product development.
The platform uses three-dimensional digital visualization to help designers and technical teams communicate garment concepts, evaluate structures and coordinate the transition from design to manufacturing.
According to the company, SWS 3D is designed to accelerate development iterations, improve collaboration between creative and technical teams, expand design flexibility and reduce unnecessary revisions.
The technology reflects Santoni China Group’s broader efforts to connect creative design, technical development and manufacturing through digital tools.
Building a connected digital ecosystem
The company will also highlight digital initiatives designed to connect knitting equipment, software, data and industry resources.
These include machine connectivity and industrial Internet of Things applications that improve production visibility and coordination; AI-assisted design and information processing; industry-specific manufacturing solutions; and digital platforms supporting design sharing and collaboration.
Additional initiatives address customer services, spare parts, customized manufacturing and broader supply-chain resources.
By integrating machinery technologies, digital tools and technical expertise, Santoni China Group aims to improve collaboration across product design, development, manufacturing and service operations.
Visitors can explore the company’s technologies and applications at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2026, Nov. 20-24, in Hall 4.1, Booth C39, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
