Garment Technology Expo (GTE) 2022, one of the leading international trade shows for garment industry, took place at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Ground, Bengaluru from 8th– 10th October, 2022. The event brought together a large number of industry visitors from this sector where wide a range of garment machinery, accessories and support services from all over the world were showcased. In fact the show had a complete display of garment machinery solution. The show was approved by MSME and supported by the garment industry associations. Geminy sewing machine was platinum sponsor who launched their industrial sewing machine. The co sponsors of the show were IIGM, HCA, AM Automation Solutions, Ramsons, Mehala and Gauge.
This year, around more than 200 companies including leading manufacturers and suppliers garment machinery and accessories from India as well as abroad participated in the show. Nowadays, the market sentiments are good after covid, which was also visible during the show. Indian exporters are looking for investing in automatic machines as the industry is facing a lot of labour problem these days. The show this edition received very good response and more than 11500 visitors from not only Bangalore and nearby regions but also Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, Tirupur and Kerala visited the show.
The 9th edition of GTE Bengaluru was inaugurated with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Chief Guest Poorana Seenivasan, Executive President from Gokaldas Exports Limited with Ricky Sahani-JMD, Ambrish Chopra-Director and Rathi Sahani-Director from Garment Technology Expo Pvt Ltd in the presence of leading technology suppliers from the industry like Vijay Dua, Karan Dua from Geminy Industrial Enterprises, Megha Anand from HCA, Sunder Belani from Ramsons, Pavan Kapoor, Kartik Kapoor from IIGM, Madhu Kapoor from ALT, Akshay Sharma from Magnum, Viraf Turel from E.H. Turel, Manjeet Singh Saini from Paramount Instrument and Bharath from Mehala machines.
GTE Bengaluru, having started in 2006 is held every alternate year and is also growing in stature and reaches with each show. The last show was held in August 2018 and was keenly patronized by the apparel and knitting machinery & accessories manufacturing and the show was keenly awaited by industry. This edition of the show received good and positive reactions from the exhibitors participating in the same. In terms of organisation the show was better. The show this year witnessed a reduction in visitors from Tirupur knitwear hub. But the quality of visitors which comprised the serious buyers from leading companies from all over India especially Bangalore was very well appreciated by the participants.
Now GTE exhibition is considered the best launchpad for introducing innovations, technology upgrades, new materials, processes, and services for the garment and knitting industries in India. Hence, it is the best platform to introduce new technologies, services and processes. Also, to build new relationships and business alliances where buyers and sellers interact directly.
