Exports of textiles from Pakistan surged in the first five months of current fiscal year with the knitwear sector growing by more than 36 percent. The latest statistics from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) show exports hit $7.76 bn in July-November 2021 compared to $6.04 bn in the same period last year, growth of 28.4 percent. Knitwear exports were up 36.6 percent from $1.51 bn to $2.05 bn.
