
Texanlab Laboratories Private Limited (A DyStar Group company) opened its 3rd state-of-the-art, technologically advanced laboratory on 21st April 2017 at Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), a town in Southern India and famous for its knitwear’s exports to the world, and famously known as “Manchester of India.” This is also a favourite destination by European and American retailers for buying various knitted products like T-shirts.
The new laboratory was opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony by Eric Hopmann, CEO, DyStar Group and Vinod Kumar, GM & Global Head, Texanlab. The ceremony was followed by a technical seminar on key Restricted Substances list, global limits and regulations in Textiles supply chain, Impacts on human and environment by the company’s experts. This was followed by an interactive question and answer session.
“This move has come from long pending demand of our clients in Southern India market and a push from global retailers with whom Texanlab have long term business,” emphasised Vinod Kumar, General Manager of Texan Labs India. “We are expanding, developing new capabilities, building trust, focusing on customer services and quality as our key goal and objectives. This is our vision to grow in market place and support our clients with unmatched services levels.”

The Texanlab goal and ambition behind this Textile laboratory is that it would be first of its kind to serve export industry with more than “Just testing” but endto- end solutions in supply chain from raw materials to final products. Texanlab test wide range of products from dyes, yarn, apparels, home textiles, accessories, leather & footwear’s and jewellery. Texan lab tests all physical, colour fastness, functional, tests for organic textiles and restricted substances including REACH & CPSIA related tests.
This new Texan Laboratory is spread in an area of 6,200 square feet in the center of Tirupur, and equipped with latest equipment’s for testing of textiles for all physical and colour fastness parameters. The laboratory design is made in such a way that one third of laboratory area uses natural daylight and fresh air to reduce electricity usage – a step towards sustainability. Fresh green plants are placed across the laboratory to add on oxygen in the environment to make air fresher.
Texanlab is more than 30 years old company with testing laboratories at Mumbai, Gurgaon and Tirupur and sales offices in Asia, Europe and America. Texanlab works with global brands and retailers and have tested more than 3,50,000 RSL parameters since its inception.
