Brückner, the specialist manufacturer of finishing machines for knitted textiles, has officially opened its new production facility in Tittmoning, Bavaria. “Our old factory simply became too small,” explained the company’s CEO, Regina Brückner. “Increased incoming orders and ever-increasing demands on machine sizes and delivery dates were the reason for planning a new plant in 2014. We were not able to start construction until November 2016, as many hurdles in the approval process and with regard to nature conservation had to be overcome in advance,” she said.
The new 25,000m² facility will allow the company to serve its customers to greater effect, producing components with a maximum height of 12 mtr and a working width of 8.8 mtr. “With a large number of new, highly automated processing machines, we are in a position to manufacture and supply even larger machines than before and we will also be able to increase our delivery volume and significantly shorten delivery times,” said Brückner.
Brückner explained the many advantages of the new plant and presented details of the highly automated and efficiently organised production. Brückner emphasised that both installation and commissioning times can be further reduced due to the significantly improved lifting, transport and assembly options. The opening was preceded by a Brückner agency conference, at which more than 90 Brückner representatives were informed and trained about new technical developments and how these will impact on the company’s future business.
