On the eve of the 48th India International Knitting Fair, the Exporters Meet and Awards celebration in Tiruppur celebrated the pioneers of the Indian clothing sourcing sector.
Tarun Bakshi, Chairman, Triburg; Asha Menon, VP of Sourcing, Walmart; Mahi Mehra, Founder, Taffles; Rohini Suri who is having a long association with the apparel Industry and has built a network of sourcing base and audit system; Nidhi Dua, last held position of Head of M&S India & Sri Lanka region;
V.Elangovan Founder, SNQS International; Sridharan Nair, Emmar International were honoured during the event. Dr. A Sakthivel, President, FIEO awarded the dignitaries and appreciated the efforts made by these sourcing experts. K M Subramanian, President, Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) and many other leading personalities of apparel and textile trade were present on this occasion.
The 48th India International Knit Fair, by India Knit Fair Association, saw many well-known garment exporters as exhibitors like Eastman Global, SCM Apparels, KPR Mills and Pooys Knitwear to mention a few. Many leading buying houses and buying agents and teams of prestigious trade bodies like Buying Agents Association (BAA), the Association of Buying Agents of Tirupur visited the show.
