The 3rd edition of Garmentech Chittagong, regional apparel machinery tradeshow of Bangladesh at GEC Conventional Hall, GEC More, Chattogram, which was inaugurated by the Hon’be Mayor of Chattogram A.J.M Nasir Uddin in the presence of Saibal Das Sumon, Councillor of Chattogram City Corporation concluded successfully attracting 4,123 business visitors.
Organised by Dhaka based ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., the three day show had exhibitors spread over 70 booths displaying products and machinery from technology leaders from 10 countries at the show. This tradeshow gave the participant an opportunity to penetrate and explore into Chittagong market which is the 2nd largest RMG market of Bangladesh. MA Salam 1st Vice President BGMEA and Gauhar Siraj Jamil, Vice President BKMEA also visits the tradeshow.
The business visitors were able to see all the different profile machinery, accessories and allied machinery for apparel manufacturing. The technologies like automatic machinery, systems, Boilers, Computer software for different processes, finishing, fusing, pressing, creasing cutting and machines for every aspect of a garment manufacturing was on display. The profile also included chemical and dye, supports and services for the sector, sewing machines attachments and parts etc.
The event served as a platform for the RMG makers to explore different technology, machinery & spares options under a single roof. Exhibitors showcased their innovations to garment exporters & manufacturers, leather and footwear manufacturers, apparel brands & labels, distributors & wholesalers, and trade body representatives visited the event.
“3rd edition of Garmentech Chittagong 2019 proved the need and usefulness of a tradeshow. The objective of this regional edition of taking the technology closer to the door steps of the end user was fully achieved. Garmentech Chittagong provided an opportunity for the technical team and floor level operation at the factories to visit and witness the new edge apparel making technology being showcased by some of the brands who have presence in most of the important markets in the world. The quality of visitor was high quality reflected in the interaction at the booths. There was fair exchange of information leading to significant business leads both for established RMG factories as well as the smaller one,” said Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd, the organisers of the show.
