Even as the region of Southern India shows positive signs of development in manufacturing of apparel, both knitted and woven, there is an increasing need for augmenting the textile supply chain. Traditionally the region, specifically Tirupur, is known in the world over as the knitwear hub. However, over the last decade or so the region has diversified into manufacturing of woven apparel and home textiles, primarily cotton-based. As companies move up the value chain, producing a slew of garments using synthetic and man-made, including specialised and highperformance fibres, the demand for such textiles has grown manifold.
This edition, Yarnex and TexIndia became a one-stop platform for those buyers seeking innovation products. Trade visitors comprised serious decision makers from India and overseas who represented visitors including international buying houses & agents, composite mills, powerloom weavers, knitters, garment exporters & manufacturers, apparel brands, retail chain stores, fashion designers, wholesalers, distributors, importers, fashion labels & trade body representatives from across India and overseas.
