Tirupur Stakeholders Forum (TSF) relaunched on 12th October 2023 in Tirupur. Tirupur Stakeholders Forum (TSF) is comprising Tiruppur Exporters’ Association (TEA), Brands, NGOs, Trade Unions, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), Labour Department & Department of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Government of Tamil Nadu and UN Women Wing and functioning to address the any issues emerged in labour front and growth of Tiruppur knitwear exports including sustainability.
Today relaunching event V. Elangovan, Vice President, TEA welcomed the gathering. While delivering the Presidential address Padmashri. Dr. A. Sakthivel, Honorary Chairman, TEA appreciated the contribution being made by Trade Unions, NGOs, Labour Department and specifically complemented ETI, UK based forum for supporting to address the labour issues as well as promotion of industry and growth of exports. He further said nowhere in the global all the stakeholders have come under one forum to address the issues and promote the business.
In his address Peter McAllister, Executive Director, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) said with collaborative approach the business can be growth and also address the other issues.
K.M. Subramanian, President, TEA complemented Trade Unions full support on all occasion with prime objective of sustenance of exports.
Rana Alok Singh, Regional Director, Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) said all would work together and mitigate any issues emerged and also take efforts for the growth of Tiruppur Exports.
Ramakrishnan, Leader from LPF union said the unions used to support industry whenever any crisis faced by it and their support is always for the success of TSF.
A. Aloysius, Founder, SAVE NGO said he would be ready to extend the support.
