From the 61st edition of Filo, “Sustainability from A to Z” – the information service for companies created in collaboration by C.L.A.S.S. and Filo – takes the form of a real showcase on responsible innovation.
As part of the “Dialoghi di Confronto” of the 61st edition of Filo, Luca Olivini, Material Manager of C.L.A.S.S, gets to the heart of the issue by proposing concrete examples of sustainable textile production, in the talk “C.L.A.S.S.: The Pioneers of Responsible Innovation in the Textile-Fashion Industry”.
With the goal of providing companies with a comprehensive, adaptable, and concrete perspective on sustainability, the discussion will cover cutting-edge materials, including ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei, which sets new standards of circularity and sustainability for stretch fibers; Spiber, with its innovative Brewed Protein™ fiber offering a unique solution; REVECOL® by ERCA, representing a new generation of chemical auxiliaries for textile derived from exhausted vegetable oil; Bemberg™ by Asahi Kasei, a unique circular fiber obtained through a closed-loop process; and CIRCULOSE® by Renewcel, a revolutionary dissolving pulp derived from the cellulose of recycled garments and fabrics. Additionally, a mention of the Alliance for European Flax-Linen and Hemp in promoting the functional and environmental properties of European flax will be highlighted.
These products represent not only responsible innovation but also the shared commitment of Filo and C.L.A.S.S. towards sustainable textile production, in line with the expectations of contemporary consumers who seek beauty, performance, and sustainable quality.
The 61st edition of Filo takes place on the 28th and 29th of February 2024 at Allianz MiCo – Milan (via Gattamelata 5).
