Lifestyle brand Deha has partnered with Fulgar, the manufacturer of a range of textured and covered yarns for the knitting and hosiery industries, for its new yogawear capsule collection.
With the company recognizing that consumers are seeking high quality, functional garments that last longer and above all are produced in an environmentally friendly manner without compromising on style, Deha says it has been working to make its collections even more fashion forward and sustainable.
As a result the brand has decided to partner with Italy’s Fulgar for the launch of a a yoga collection, creating six garments that include Q-Nova polyamide fibre obtained from regenerated raw materials. The items are said to display a unique style that blends aesthetics, comfort and sustainability.
“We’re very pleased to be working with Deha in their moves towards increasingly sustainable collections, helped by the potential of our ecological, functional yarns,” said Daniela Antunes, marketing manager at Fulgar. “It’s an important recognition of our commitment to eco-sustainable research and development with the objective of creating an ethical, increasingly circular supply chain in activewear, too.”
Q-Nova technology is obtained exclusively from regenerated raw materials using a mechanical rather than chemical process.
It has obtained a series of green certifications, including the Global Recycled Standard and Ecolabel EU. It is also now entered on the Higg Index, an index assessing the environmental impact of a garment’s entire life cycle, developed by the SAC (Sustainable Apparel Coalition).
Amongst its most recent developments is the addition of a special ingredient in the polyamide that includes an ID (Identity) traceability system, which makes it possible to verify the authenticity of the yarn’s recycled origins.
