GMMSA Expo 2023 Biggest ever display of knitting technologies

The textile companies in Ludhiana are primarily indulged in woolen fabrics and hosiery products. In fact, Ludhiana is the largest manufacturer of hosiery goods in entire country. The textile machinery companies in Ludhiana are one of the premium segments, which are augmenting the growth of textile business in the entire nation. Looking at the growing need of technology up gradation, the 7th edition of GMMSA Expo-India 2023 was held at Dana Mandi, Bahadur Ke Road, Ludhiana from February 10 to February 13, 2023. This edition also brought most of the leading knitting technology suppliers in the world of knitting industry at one platform. Like every year 2023’s edition was organised to facilitate the machinery manufacturers and suppliers to showcase their latest products. The expo showcased over 2,000 products from 250 exhibitors in knitting, dyeing, finishing, printing, sewing machines, embroidery and accessories from India and other countries.

The 7th edition of GMMSA Expo India started with a big bang on, 10 February 2023. The first day of the exhibition showcased leading inventions in the world of garment manufacturing machinery. GMMSA Expo was inaugurated with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Madan Lal Bagga MLA North Ludhiana with the office bearers of GMMSA, Teja Singh-President, Ram Krishan- Chairman, Gurpreet SinghSr. Vice President, Gurdev Singh Vice President, Narinder Kumar- Gen Secretary and Krishan Mastana Executive Member in the presence of leading technology suppliers from the industry. Also, Sanjeev Arora, Member Parliament visited the Exhibition on Second day of Exhibition on 11 February, 2023 with the office bearers present Teja Singh – President, Gurpreet Singh -Sr. Vice President, Gurdev Singh-Vice President, Narinder Kumar-Gen. Secretary, Jatinder SuderaAdvisor, Rajesh Sharma -Secretary PR.

The expo was organised by the industry itself for the betterment of the Ludhiana industry as a whole. One witnessed a special eagerness among leading brands of machinery to exhibit their products in GMMSA Expo. This support has made the expo the largest ever-industrial exhibition of knitting machinery in Punjab. The machinery manufacturers are keen to be at the forefront in showcasing their latest technology to increase productivity and achieve cost efficiency in each process of garment manufacturing making the industry more competitive.

The show received very good response with more than 30 thousand visitors from local and nearby regions visited the show. It proved to be a huge crowd puller as visitors flocked the exhibition. There were Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese and European machines on display that attracted a number of buyers and traders to the exhibition. However, one could not ignore the presence of Make in India at the expo. Indian manufacturers displayed their ingeniously manufactured machines and it is safe to say that they garnered an equal amount of attention as the foreign made machines. There were a number of Make in India products that were on display at the exhibition. These products included knitting machines, mini boilers and packaging machines.

The focus lay on technology that reduced the consumption of electricity and other resources with some machines cutting down on electricity by up to 45 per cent. After proving to be a great help to knitwear manufacturers the grand show in Ludhiana GMMSA Expo India 2023 concluded on, 13 February 2023.
