The Government of Rajasthan and the Retailers Association of India (RAI) have signed a MoU for the promotion of retail businesses in Rajasthan State, and evaluate sourcing opportunities from Rajasthan.
RAI will also participate in and support the first-of-its-kind international expo organised by the Rajasthan Export Promotion Council in Jodhpur from 20th – 22nd March 2023. The Expo aims to provide national and international market linkages to the MSMEs based in Rajasthan.
Speaking about this MoU, Kumar Rajagopalan, CEO, Retailers Association of India (RAI), said, “This effort by the Rajasthan Government to encourage exports as well as to encourage trade in the country is a welcome sign and we at the Retailers Association of India are proud to be associated with them to help further the cause of traders in the country.”
The Rajasthan Export Promotion Council (REPC) is committed to working for the overall development of all manufacturing, service, and business sectors, right from entrepreneurship development, export infrastructure development, and export ecosystem development in Rajasthan.
REPC is a non-profit organization formed under the Notification of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Rajasthan. REPC is working under the supervision and control of the Government of Rajasthan. The council is committed to performing the overall growth of the industry sectors in service, manufacturing, export infrastructure growth sectors, and export ecosystem development in Rajasthan.
RAI has around 13667 member establishments, including large and small retailers in the country, having approximately 500,000 stores providing Direct and Indirect employment to 50 million Indians.
