A new circular knitted fabric from Feinjersey, made using nylon 6.6 Meryl yarns from Spain’s Nylstar, has been selected as the Best Product at ISPO Textrends 2021.
The ISPO jury, composed of a range of international experts, selected Meryl Sublime fabric made in collaboration with Feinjersey as Best Product in the category of Base Layers for Fall/Winter 2022/23.
Described as a ‘fully circular fabric with high performance’, Meryl Sublime Skinlife Force Ecodye fabric is based on Nylstar Hydrogen technology, which does not release microfibers to the air and water.
The fabric is also 100 per cent post-consumer recyclable thanks to the natural stretch provided by Nylstar Hydrogen technology that completely avoids the use of elastane. Furthermore, no water was used in the dyeing process.
The fabric also contains Skinlife Force antiviral permanent technology, which allows the creation of antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial garments. The 2021 edition of ISPO Textrends will be held online from February 1st to 5th.
Nylstar has also announced that after a long period of development, it can now also offer Meryl yarns from LOY (low-oriented yarn) in Ecodye colours. The Ecodye technology is designed to produce bright colours with high levels of fastness using no water or chemicals and producing zero waste in the dyeing process.
