AMANN Group Germany has achieved a major milestone. The company’s first production plant in Ranipet/India has officially opened. It is THE most sustainable facility in their portfolio equipped with state-of-the-art technology to protect the environment. In Ranipet, AMANN will produce sewing- and embroidery threads of the highest quality for leather and apparel applications.
AMANN officially opens its first production plant in India in Ranipet/Tamil Nadu. AMANN has been represented in India since 2007 with sales offices in Chennai, Bangalore and Gurgaon. Today, the company is taking its business one step further and starts to manufacture its products in India preliminary for India.

Not a single drop of wastewater into the ground

The investment into our new production site reflects on our serious commitment towards the environment:
• By using Zero Liquid Discharge (ZDL), all extracted water remains in a closed cycle system. Only 9% of fresh water has to be replenished due to evaporation.
• Energy demand is mostly covered by a comprehensive photovoltaic system, additional demand is supplied by a nearby wind and solar park.
• The boiler for steam production – important for the dyeing process of the threads – operates with biomass.
