Shipments of new electronic flat knitting machines rose by 44 per cent in 2017 compared to the previous year to reach their highest ever level, with deliveries of circular knitting machines remaining flat for the same period. The latest statistics from the 40th annual International Textile Machinery Shipment Statistics (ITMSS), just released by the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), show that global shipments of large circular knitting machines rose slightly by 0.12 per cent to a level close to 28,000 units in 2017.
