Embroidery machine manufacturer Lässer Holding has purchased the embroidery business unit of competitor firm Saurer as it looks to consolidate the production of new technologies. As part of the acquisition, all assets and contracts of Saurer’s embroidery unit will be transferred to Lässer, and the transfer of operations is expected by May of this year.
“We are confident that with the newly combined knowledge, Lässer will lead the industry to sustainable success,” said Anton Kehl of Saurer Intelligent Technology. “We believe we have found the best solution for both our customers and employees with this measure. While this decision was not easy for us, we are positive about the future of the shuttle embroidery market in this new configuration.”
Situated in St. Gallen, Switzerland, Lässer has established a network of 12 facilities around the world, including in India, Thailand and Turkey.
Saurer customers will be directed to the business’ new parent company, which says it will manage queries in order to streamline the transition.
