The Karl Mayer team was in buoyant mood at ISPO recently following the news that Mammut’s Sota HS Hooded Jacket, produced on the company’s latest warp knitting technology, won a Product of the Year Award in the Snow sports segment. The fully equipped, three-layer Sota HS ski jacket “scores with revolutionary technology: It is both breathable and hard-wearing,” the judges said, adding that Mammut used a special knitting technique for temperature regulation.
At the show, Karl Mayer can be found on stand 408 in hall C4 of Messe München – right at the centre of the exhibition’s trends hub – where it is demonstrating the performance features of warp-knitted textiles on an area of 120 sqr mtr, surrounded by the latest fabrics, styles and accessories.

Gabriela Schellner, the Head of Textile Product Development at Karl Mayer, is convinced that the products on show will familiarise the sportswear and outdoor sectors with warp knitting technology. In particular, she intends to come into even closer contact with brand manufacturers at ISPO and discover more about their ideas and requirements for new product developments, and to develop new solutions with them.
